A Little Catch Up

Hello! Its been a little too long since I last shared a new post around here. Things have been pretty hectic lately, with a drama filled trip to Florida, followed by two weeks of illnesses and trips to an eye clinic! I thought it was about time I shared a few updates on what’s been happening lately…

In my last post, I shared that I’d opened my new Creative Market shop. I’ve since added a third product, a set of house plant vector illustrations, and hope to add some more in the next few weeks!

Back in February, we headed to Florida for just over two weeks for our friends’ wedding. We spent a week exploring Boca Raton, kayaking under mangrove trees, swimming in the sea and indulging in far too much great food. Part way through the trip, we had a pretty horrible experience where all of our luggage was stolen from our car, and we were left with minimal belongings, and no passports! Needless to say part of the second week of our trip was taken up by getting our hands on some emergency passports, and buying replacement items that we’d lost! But we still managed to have a fantastic few days down in the Keys, where we spent more time on the beach, saw turtles in the sea, and ate even more great food (including a particularly memorable Key Lime flavoured ice cream!)
The absolute highlight of our trip though, was the whole reason we went out there to begin with, our beautiful friends’ wedding at the Ancient Spanish Monastery (we’re still waiting for the photos!). The day itself was beautiful and beyond perfect, followed by one of the most fun nights we’ve ever had, drinking, dancing and laughing with friends.
So despite the dramas, we had a wonderful time, and can’t wait to go back!

I had big plans for lots of new projects once we got back, but unfortunately the day after we landed I came down with a virus, and felt ill on and off for two weeks! In between illnesses, I had a bit of a scare with my eyes and had to take two trips to the eye clinic at the hospital. Everything is back to normal now (and my eyes were absolutely fine!) so I’m finally getting back in to the swing of working again. I’ve been spending as much time as I can in my sketchbooks, drawing new content for the Creative Market shop, and catching up with client projects.

I have a few slots left for branding & illustration work in April & May, so get in touch if you’d like to chat about working together!
