Moments Photo Studio - Logo & Branding
Today I have the exciting job of revealing the new brand identity for the lovely Kaitlynn at Moments Photo Studio!
Kaitlynn is the talented photographer behind Moments Photo Studio, a Washington based photography business specialising in everything from Bridal & Boudoir, to families, couples and travel. She was so lovely to work with and I'm so happy to have been able to create her new brand identity for her!
From the very beginning of the project, Kaitlynn knew she wanted her logo to feature an aperture symbol, so that was a key element of the design process, beginning with the mood board creation. After pulling all the images together (including two lovely photos by Kaitlynn herself; the top right, and centre images) a clear colour palette of teals, charcoal and gold was formed and we had a clear direction to take the design in.
I sketched out a few variations of logo concepts involving the aperture symbol, and asked Kaitlynn to choose her favourites (and we both agreed on the best two options!) which I then developed further in Illustrator, along with some ideas for co-ordinating submarks.
Kaitlynn particularly liked the aperture submarks, and the script font of option one, so I got to work on adding colour and creating a secondary logo option to complete the set, and finalising all the details.
I also designed Kaitlynn's business cards and a services & pricing leaflet to compliment her new branding, and updated her website with the new colours and fonts. You can see how it all came together over at momentsphotostudio.com
This was another wonderful project to work on and its been lovely getting to know Kaitlyn. I can't wait to see what the future holds for her and her business!
Finally, here's a lovely review from Kaitlynn at the end of our project:
"Emma was so great to work with. She was quick to respond to all of my questions and requests! She helped guide me through learning how to brand myself and my business. I'm so happy with the work she provided. It was all I wanted without realizing what I wanted!"
